SMALL WORKS - ABOUT.jpg

We're SMALL WORKS, a traditional string quartet (2x violin, viola, cello) with a modern outlook. From classical works to contemporary pop arrangements, we love performing and we love making music. Forget your worries; SMALL WORKS is here to play!

Violin 1: Suzanna Kirke

Violin 2: Leah Brown

Viola: Benjamin Bernard

Cello: Samuel Davis

Classically trained, SMALL WORKS' members have played music all their lives. Between them, they have performed at venues including the Royal Albert Hall (including multiple appearances at the BBC Proms), the Barbican, the Royal Festival Hall, Camden Roundhouse, Birmingham Symphony Hall, the Sage Gateshead, Cadogan Hall and Carnegie Hall.

As chamber musicians, SMALL WORKS' members have performed alongside and collaborated with some of the country's most talented young musicians, as well as established groups such as the Wihan Quartet. As soloists, they have made concerto appearances both in the UK and abroad, and they have performed orchestrally under some of the world's top conductors including Daniel Harding, Antonio Pappano, Vasily Petrenko and Semyon Bychkov, for virtuosi such as Stephen Hough, Chloe Hanslip and Steven Isserlis.

SMALL WORKS' members have studied under some of the UK's leading teachers and chamber musicians, as well as attending the prestigious Durham, Oxford and Cambridge universities.
